This was one of the toughest photo jobs I have ever been on. Not because the German Shepherd, Thor, was difficult but to the contrary that he was such a gentle “King of His Castle”. Thor’s owners, Bill and Judy, had called me to book a photo shoot of Thor who unfortunately had only several months to live. Thor the German Shepherd had a rare heart condition in dogs where he needed an adrenaline shot each day. Although as you can see from the photos this dog had an amazing ability to look through the lense to me and show so much character and emotion. Its all in the eyes. Having spent time with Bill and Judy, I could tell that Thor was a German Shepherd that has received so much love through his life.

Volpe was one of the most unique puppies i have photographed in San Diego. Volpe was a mix of many different breeds. Total mutt. We met up on a 60 foot sail boat that was 80 years old. The puppy had a fun time exploring this vessel and of course as the photos show the wine bottle cork which was great for his puppy teeth.

OB DOG BEACH

Here are some dog pictures of Annie a labradoodle still a puppy around 1 years old. Her owner Jesse was interested in seeing how Annie photographed and maybe would be interested in using her for commercials or print media. Jesse contacted me and asked if we could set up a photo session at OB Dog Beach in the afternoon. We scored on the day with some amazing lighting while the sun was going down. The dark sand and blue pools of water provided a great backdrop for Annie’s golden coat. She had so much fun running and playing with all the other dogs and jumping into the pools of ocean water.

Here are some dog pictures of Kimo & Tashka. Both of them were Malamute breeds. Their owner Bob knew both dogs were starting to get older and he wanted to get some pictures of them while they still looked healthy and strong. Since they were Malamutes he wanted to get them in some scenic settings that looked like forest or mountains. So we took a drive over to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park which worked out perfect. The dogs loved the tall grass, trees, and little canyons along the cliff side.
